My Office Redo Part III

I shared My Office Redo Part I here and My office Redo Part II here. In My Office Redo Part III I wanted to share some pictures of the decor. I am not completely done decorating but since decorating is not my strength I tend to do enough to get by and then forget about the rest! Here are some pictures…

And a SIMPLE motto…

Here is the final shot of the shelves. I love the scroll-y thing on top (copied my friend, Shauna). It is from Hobby Lobby and I painted it black.

Then, once I had the furniture, sure enough my printer didn’t fit into the printer cabinet so I painted this OLD end table that I remember having in our living room as a kid and put it next to the credenza for my printer table. I like it! The box on the bottom is my TO FILE box – only the things that need to be filed in the basement like kid’s memorabilia and photos go in there. The rest gets filed immediately in my two file drawers. Since this photo I have purchased a three drawer file cabinet from Home Decorator’s Oxford Collection because I needed more file space – growing client files and launching Clutter Interrupted.

Of course, I wanted to have my family in my office so I had to put the famous “school” pictures of my 4 wonderful children up for me to look at every day! Maybe one day I will put some fun family ones but for now these work great! Oh, the blur!!! New family photo is already replacing these…coming soon.

I put my husband’s grandmother’s chair in the corner! I was going to get rid of it until my two friends saw it and went on about me giving it to them if I wanted to get rid of it! You know how you get that feeling when someone wants something you want to get rid of? You start to really think it must be cool and maybe you should keep it! I painted the legs and arms (with the black paint Jennifer Allwood recommends here) and now love it, too!

Now you can imagine me working in my office! The bamboo tree is from Pier 1 in case you love it as much as I do! The lamps were on clearance at Hobby Lobby and the rug is from Sam’s Club. My Office Redo Part IV will be all about actually ORGANIZING my office in a way that works for me and helps me reach my goals!
